It seems like there is a special day every month in Korea, which there is, and for the month of May, Rose Day is on the 14th. Rose Day in Korean is pronounced “Rose Day” and is written like this: “로즈데이”. Rose Day isn’t a national holiday, but it is a day meant for lovers to spend time with one another and create memories.
Some couples don’t celebrate the day, while some people really go out of their way to create memories for their lovers. Nonetheless, it’s another day that gives you an excuse to expect something from your significant other, or to plan something romantic to make up for something you’ve done wrong.
You can get your significant other some rose shaped soaps, a rose shaped cake, or actual roses. All flower shops in Korea will be well stocked with roses and a lot of young people decide to get their loved ones a single rose stem. However, some people go all out and purchase 100 roses for their loved one. It really is up to each individual person.
But, the most important thing to do on special romantic days in Korea, like Rose Day, is to spend time with the person you love.
